*10 points!* Breech/show shirt sizing needed!?
I wear between a 0-2 in regular pants, I am 5’5″, and I am looking to buy some Ariat Sport Stride Riding Breeches from doversaddlery.com. What size should I be ordering? Long or Regular?
And how should I measure for a long-sleeved show shirt? Recommended brands at Dover Saddlery?

Most breeches, Ariat’s included, are measured according to your waist size. You’ll probably be a 20 or 22. Looser is the current trend right now, so I’d go with the slightly larger size. I would guess you’d be a long, but you might want to try on a pair at a local tack store just to be sure.
As far as shirts are concerned, they go by your bust size. For example, if you wear a 36 in a bra, you’d order a 36 shirt. Some run bigger or smaller, though, so it also helps to try these on or at least order them well before your show so you have time to send them back for the next size up or down. Good brands include Ariat, Tailored Sportsman, RJ Pierce, and Essex. They’re all available on Dover.
As a note, if you’re buying breeches for showing and not schooling, I wouldn’t go with the Ariat sport strides. For showing, you should wear breeches with the European seam which goes over your knee, not alongside it. In Ariats, that would be the All or Pro Circuit lines.
